On April 20th, 2021, Apple launched a "live" event (www.apple.com/apple-events/april-2021/) announcing the new iMac, iPad, AppleTV, and new technology AirTag. I will talk about each announcement, and break down what each new release entails. iMac: iPad on steroids.. Or not?
An iPad! But with a computer in it?
AppleTV for 4K!AirTag: Apple's Tile
The End: Final ThoughtsI think that the new AirTag addition and AppleTV upgrade are pretty positive. AirTag can cripple multiple industries at once. <AirTag effect> But the iMac and iPad Pro upgrades are one to ponder about. The iPad and iMac are competing for similar use cases; at-home desktop or laptop use, respectively. Buying either locks you out of buying the other (theoretically). I feel like Apple made this intentionally, to get users that either are in the Apple ecosystem, or get people not in the ecosystem to choose iPad, and then to lure them into the wider ecosystem. Of course Apple does this, and its not a secret at the moment. Buying either the iMac or iPad are great purchases, don't get me wrong. There is a lot of pros and cons to buying either. <Broad Effects of Apple releases> Works Consulted:
